Graduation Exams Strike Back
...So it's that special time of the year again...that time when the schedules at the best dadgum school in the nation are flipped around and confusing. Today seemed to drag on, and on, and on, and on. I was ready to break a window and just run away from school today by fourth block (the only problem was that my fourth block classroom has no windows). Thank goodness today is over, although tomorrow it starts again. Thank goodness Friday will be the last day of graduation exams. I don't think I've ever looked forward so much to a Friday in my entire life.

Mormons...
So yeah I had my first experience with a Mormon group date last week. Nicole decided to plan the thing and my parents graciously offered up our home to host the date. The first bump I had to get over for the whole thing was finding my date. The original idea was for me to ask Audrey, but then I realized that I'll probably be taking her to High School Musical 3, so two dates in a row doesn't work. Then I planned to ask the new girl in our area, Eliza, but Nicole told me not to because Aly was supposedly going to ask me to go. So that night I called up Aly and got her voice mail, but before she could check her voice mail Jim asked her out, and thus I could not take Aly. I was pretty okay with that though, because I had actually originally wanted to ask Eliza anyways, so I hit her up in the halls the next day at school, only to be told that Tyler had asked her out at the date (two date stealers on the same date that was AT MY HOUSE). Eliz appologized and then told me to ask Cassie, so I ran down the halls to catch up with Cassie and asked her out, and thankfully she was single that night. It was a really super-fantastic group date, and we all had a blast, I just learned that next time there's a Mormon group date I need to call up my choice of dates and ask them out the night before Mutual.

Not for me
So for a while I was thinking about being a chef...sadly (or happily for me) that thought was brutally murdered today. I can't stand my Culinary class anymore, we don't do anything in there but take notes. The teacher is totally unprepared to teach, and she spends the entire class showing PowerPoint's while she sits in the back either glued to the phone or her e-mail. But the class isn't what did it in today. When I sat down and thought for all of three seconds I told myself I was transferring out of Culinary into Advanced Drama. Half of my mind was completely shocked by this, because I supposedly wanted to become a chef. The other half won the debate though, because I know that I could never handle sitting in a kitchen day after day having to make the same thing over and over again THE EXACT SAME WAY!! I hope that made sense to you, because it did in my head. I just wanted to inform you that I have narrowed down my choices of occupations by one! Life is good again (except for the minor fact that I have to finish the semester of Culinary 1)!

You'd think I'd have learned my lesson from the second...
So even though I'm in high school, and was a little bit disappointed in the second of the series, I'm still fairly excited about High School Musical 3. I'm totally into the whole high energy musical thing, so of course I'm interested. I found two songs for High School Musical 3 on youtube, and they're not terrible. The Sharpay and Ryan song is a little (make that a lot) on the self-centered side, but surprisingly it makes sense, since it's all about rising to the top as an actor (which I think would be amazing), so I still like it.
The past I had nearly forgotten
Oh my goodness, if you've seen me lately you know that I have re-discovered the wonders of one of the best TV shows ever!!! Out of no where I suddenly just remembered one of the shows that my siblings and I would all watch together when Nicole and Jeff still lived with us back in Utah. DARIA!!! I've been pretty addicted to it for a few weeks, but I finished the five seasons off of youtube now, so yeah, now it's all over. It was by far one of the best shows ever, and it makes so much more sense to me now that I'm finally in high school.
Now I'm trying to find or create people who watch Daria so we can form a fashion club like the one in Daria (only with a guy in it), so I can say 'As president of the Fashion Club.' I know I'm just a tad on the weird side (make that a heck of a lot on the weird side) but you would probably understand if you watched Daria, so go do it now.

YES!!!
So I want to announce to all my avid readers who don't know already know:
I GOT IN TO "FOOTLOOSE"!!!!!!!
Yeah, I know I sound a bit conceited about it, and I'm sorry. I'm just really excited to actually be a part of the school musical this year. The auditions were CRAZY though. We had three days of auditions. The first day we did the cold reads (acting) portion. Second day we did singing, and third day we did the dancing. My weakest points were the acting and the singing, because I wasn't confident enough in what I was doing, but next year, hopefully I'll do better. There were about 140 students auditioning for 44 parts (can you say intense). I'm not saying I'm all amazing to get into it, because to be honest only about 30-40 guys auditioned for 22 parts, and I'm only in chorus. I was just super excited about it, and wanted to update y'all on this, since it will be eating up my life next semester.
